           The field of human rights is under a serious threat due to human rights violence and absence  of law .Our burning challenges are to eliminate socoal discrimination , domestic violence , child labour , untouchability and human traffking . Man has intergal link with the environment . There is degradation of the environment due to pollution and deforestation . Despite the efforts to awaken the public in the fields of human rights and environmental conservation . In order to discuss and , avocate on human rights and environment , HUREC-Nepal (Human rights and Rural-Enviornment Protection Center) was established in 2063 B.S at  Ratu VDC Surkhet as a small Pressure Group , which was officially merged into Social Walfare Council in District Administration office Surkhet in Shrawan 2066.

           Human right today has been disrupted by traditional views and culture . Exploitation , untouchability and discrimination are still deeply rooted on the bases of races , genders , classes Religious voilence over female is in the increase .In the accusation of being a witch or bringing less amount of dowry or infertility , many women are benig boycotted  from the families or burnt to death and physically or mentally tortured . HUREC-Nepal is active against such inhuman activities and absence of law or sentence .

           Environment is very sensitive for all living beings . It is the human beings that is solely responsible for the deterioration of environment . Due to rapid deforestation , organisms in the environment are in the condition of migration or extinction . Despite being the most conscious being man is the main cause of pollution and environmental depletion . These activities have raised another problem : global warning by which our touristic Himalayan Region is losing its beauty as the snow is melting .

           More than 65.5% of the people depends on agriculture .Despite it ,the lifestyle of people hasn't improved because of the lack of modern scientific farming techniques . HUREC-Nepal is inspiring the peasant community to use improved seeds , morden farming tools and fertilizers. Similarly ,the farmers are being made aware of the important of compost fertilizer and the demerits of chemical fertilizers and plastic goods. Land is losing fertility due to haphazard use of chemicals and plastic goods. Considering the same , HUREC-Nepal has been organizing different programs so as to make each individual aware of his/her responsibilities for the environment resources .

           On the whole HUREC-Nepal has been creating such an environment in which suppressed violens are exposed , human rights identified and positive changes on thoughts and views of people seen . With the slogan "Conserve our Forests , Promote Greenery on Treeless Hills" it is approaching to the rural nooks and corners for the sake of long healthy and happy future life of people.

Vision:

To make Sustainable , healthy and happy life through the conservation of rural resources , environment and protection of human rights .

Mision:

                   All human beings are equal .So it aims at long and healthy future life through making people aware and responsible in the field of human right and conservation of the rural resources and  environment.

Goal:

      To create an atmosphere in which one respects another spreading human right education to women, children , adults and old people of comunity .

     To conserve the environments and places of tourism by makins the community responsible .

     To modernize agriculture field and reduce poverty by initiating the compaigns to utilize the rare materials and useful plants in rural areas.

      To involve the youth on learning useful skills for life by keeping them away from drug addiction .

Specific Objectives:

   To spread human right education so that the public can raise violens against the absence of law , injustice and violation of human rights .

   To make the public responsible for the conservation of the forests ,sites of tourism and ecology by organizing awareness programmes.

   To organize discussions , advocacy and awareness programmers to stand against existing inequality , racial and sex discrimination , untouchability and so on.

   TO initiate interactions among general and intellectual persons about    changes in the climate and their impacts in consequence of human misdeeds.

   To organize and run the programs to minimize pollution ,caused by the excessive use of the plastic goods , chemical fertilizers and pesticides .The people will be encouraged to carry out income generating programs such as cultivation of herbs ,reforestion , utilization of raw materials etc.

   To make each individual strong ,determined and committed to the fields of the conservation of human rights environment , raw materials etc .

   To minimize poverty in the rural areas by introducing  modern tools and techniques in agriculture .

   To make the youths alert against various social evils and drug addiction so that they will advocate and protest   'dos and donts' in the community .

Strategies:

        To form a mechanism of the personals dedicated to the conservation of the environment and human right .

        To ensure justice to the down-trodden and exploited persons through discussion , pressure, advocacy , press conferences etc against the violation of  human rights .

        To prepare a form in order to have it filled and signed with a promise that he/she will act against land pollution by minimizing the use of plastic goods and other chemicals.

        To check deforestation and implement reforestation programs with the slogan "Afforest on the Bare hills , Plant four trees if you Fell One .

        To spread campaigns for modernizing agricultural field .

        To form groups of the youth and activate them against  social evils and drug addictions .

Target Group of HUREC-Nepal:

• The community  that has been the victim of violence , maltreatment , untouchability  , suppression and boycotting .
•    The community or ethnic group that is marginalized or deprived of the main stream of the nation
• All the groups i.e the circles of peasants, forest ,workers ,males ,femals ,mothers ,children’s , youths and so on.
•  Laborers , orphans , sufferers  from incurable  diseases ,old and handicapped  ones .
•    Endangered community or indeqenous group .

Values:

   All human being are equal . So that deserve equal right and opportunity .

   Our effort , though little is likely to contribute to the environment conservation.

   These should be no discrimination among human beings on the grounds of caste , colour , religion , sex , class and region .

   We can eliminate poverty and be self dependent as we have resources ,means and possibilities .

   Community can be empowered only then , it can conserve environment and advocate human right .

   Information can be provided for the development and conservation of the environment and tourism sector through different awerness program and local FM radio programs .

   We can help the mantind against human right violation, domination and absence of law through pressure , advocacy and interaction .

   Rural poverty can be minimized by modernizing agriculture .
